ClamCase

As I mentioned yesterday, I want to get the ClamCase for my iPad. I found another keyboard case (Crux 360) but I don't like the shininess of it and it leaves Apple logo on the back of the iPad exposed. I don't want any scratches on my Pad.

I'm not ready to buy yet but and even if I were, both are sold out. ClamCase says they are releasing a new version of the ClamCase for the iPad 1, which is the iPad I have, early to mid-October. I can't wait to get it. My early birthday present to myself.

It will cost me a pretty penny. I'm guessing around $150 but it will be better than buying a new laptop, which I do need. It will also be a better case w/keyboard than all the other cases for less money I've seen out there.

I haven't seen my Powerbook G4 in months. I should get it back from my mom. That thing is so ancient, I can't really do anything with it other than word processing. I just hope my desk top computer doesn't become outdated anytime soon. Though with the software upgrades I have to get (I'm running Leopard) I'll have to upgrade to Snow Leopard then to Lion. Once I'm upgraded to Lion, I will have to get replacement software for VMware Fusion. VMware does not work with Lion OS X. Plus, a new mobile device compatible template for my blog. I'm looking at another $200 to $300 dollars get myself mobile blogging for my next 366 project. Yay! For someone like me, blogging isn't cheap. I prefer hosting my own blog for the control it gives me. I've had to block way too many people from reading my blog. You'd think if they didn't like what they read here, they would read elsewhere. Some people just like flaming.

I'm glad what I had originally planned to post today didn't make it to my inbox. I'm thinking it is a sign...to just stop watching tv if I don't like what's on. I'm taking my own advice that I give to people who don't like what I write about.

I cannot describe my confusion over the TSCC. It seems like Fox is preparing to take TSCC off the air and the show is getting really, really good. The show is my favorite show on tv right now.

I just have this feeling this will be the last season of TSCC despite next weeks episode only being a season finale instead of a series finale. I wish they hadn’t killed of the eye candy. His death wasn’t all that memorable. Just a bullet to the head. Couldn’t the writers have come up with a more dignified or dramatic way for John Connor’s uncle to die? A bullet to the head. What a shame.

I went to a Buffy meetup group last night. It was interesting. I never thought I would be surrounded by people who loved Buffy that much. I’m going to have fun hanging out with them. Maybe I’ll even get an opportunity to meet Joss Whedon at one of the Buffy events.

That’s all I have to say about tv. Dollhouse is on and I want to try to watch it. I fell asleep watching last week’s episode.

Random

It seams I completely forgot what I was going to write about.

I logged into the IndieSOS forum tonight to read a post about blogging. So far, I’m the only person besides the administrator(s) to post a blog at the forums. It’s a little disheartening since the organization provides the blogging feature to members for free. I’m totally taking advantage of it because I want to get into screenwriting and it seems natural to write.

Anyway. I’ve been thinking a lot about the script(s) I’m going to be writing next month. I think I’m going to start writing the spec script now and then work on the feature script in April. I verify with IndieSOS at the end of this month so I’m hoping to meet some actors who will inspire me to write a short feature film. I’ve read a few directors, like Spike Lee, often write for specific actors in mind.

I went to Yang Chow’s on Sunday with my mom and two of my cousins. My cousin R suggested I join a theatre group. Ha! Not into acting though the pay is good when you can get the work. I’m too private of a person (coming from someone posting intimate thoughts on a public blog).

I watched an interesting commercial last night. It was Mary Kay. It seems the company is looking to attract more sales reps. Now, I don’t mean to write about MLM, but now is the time to get into it. Recessions and high unemployment are the key elements for increased profits with MLM companies.

I just felt like writing about MLM.

As far as shows I really like on TV. I’m really liking Lost and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I’m still not sure about Dollhouse. I wasn’t impressed with the series premier but the show is starting to grow on me. I hope Terminator and Dollhouse will be on next year. For some reason, I have this feeling the shows will be cancelled. Who watches tv on a Friday night?

Dollhouse

I don’t know what to think about Dollhouse. I found it rather confusing. I’m hoping the show will get better. It really isn’t like me to not like a Joss Whedon show. Buffy was great, Angel was great, and Firefly was the shiznitz.

Dollhouse is nothing like My Own Worst Enemy. At this point, I can say I liked My Own Worst Enemy better but hopefully things will change. I really, really want to like Dollhouse.

As for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I loved Friday’s episode. I’m still furious about Fox moving the show to Fridays (who watches tv on Fridays?) but I will get over it now that I can watch the show over the Internet. What I liked about Friday’s episode is bringing some of the short-lived history between Sarah and Kyle Reese. I love romance of the twisted kind. He’s been dead for years but yet Sarah still carries a torch for a man she only spent a couple of days with. I’ve never experienced that.

I’m still trying to figure out the deal with the Red head. Is she good or is she bad? It seems she’s trying to change the way terminators operate. Does she want to live like humans? Does she want her kind to be more human?

Anyway, apparently men don’t care if a woman’s eggs are fresh or not. They just want to be able to make an omelette. So, there’s no need to be paranoid about the freshness of my eggs. And younger guys like older women.

Chastity is HOT!

Well, my weekend will hopefully go by very slowly. I rented some movies to tide me over through the crummy weather. I’ve got some cleaning and organizing to do tomorrow. Plus, I have to do some shopping for the ingredients to my oatmeal craisin cookies.

I wish I had more to blog about but I’m at a loss for words. I need to do some creative writing this weekend in addition to job searching and resume writing. I really don’t want to spend another year in the desert.

There was something I wanted to blog a little bit about but I can’t remember. It had something to do with Grey’s Anatomy. I watched it last night but it wasn’t last night’s episode that I have stuck in my head. Ah, now I remember. It was last week’s episode and in particular the relationship brewing between Christina and Owen. Their relationship is the most interesting on tv I’ve seen in a long time. It’s just plain HOT! I don’t mean to mention this, but chastity is something missing in the relationships I’ve seen on tv. Everyone wants to hop in bed and screw their brains out like little bunnies. But Christina and Owen are taking it to a whole new level, one that I find totally respectable and erotic. If you get a chance check out Episode 13 at http://abc.go.com/.

I don’t think most people will get the relationship, but the ones who do will get it. Chastity is hot!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Lost vs Found

I’m completely into Lost this season. For the past 3 years, I’ve been completely puzzled as to why the survivors would want to get of the island. Most of the survivors lived pathetic lives. Jack’s wife left him to start a family with another man. Kate was a fugitive. Sawyer was a con artists hell bent on finding the man who conned his mother. Hurley - an overweight crazy man. And Sayid, Locke, Sun, and Claire? Not much to envy before the crash.

I want to get lost. I would miss my computers and that’s about it.

Have you noticed how the television season isn’t like it used to be? The mid-season breaks are longer, the seasons start really late. I really miss the good old days when all your favorite shows would have their season premieres in September and the season finales in May.

I am so glad I can keep up with the flashbacks and flashforwards or Lost would be very confusing. The Oceanic Six are trying to get back to the island. I want to go with and never be found.

Random thoughts about tv and writing

I was watching Lost last night and as usual I couldn’t quite figure out why anyone would want to leave The Island.

I want to get lost on The Island. Away from my 40-hour a week job and 2-hour a day commute.

What would it be like to only have to work 10 hours a week to meet all my basic needs? Wow. That would be so awesome. I wouldn’t know what to do with my time. I could learn to swim. Go hiking. Fish. Lay out on the beach and get a really nice tan. I would get Sawyer to walk around all day without a shirt so I can stare at his man nipples.

But I wouldn’t be able to eat my new favorite snack- Breyers Lactose-free Vanilla Bean ice cream and Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds cereal. Yum yum. I discovered this by accident. I haven’t been able to get to the store to buy my soy milk and I really wanted some cereal.

I wouldn’t be able to eat my ice creamy crunch. I could live with that if I meant I could live on The Island.

I’ve been squeezing in some time to read Stephen King’s On Writing. I like the book though it doesn’t give much practical advice on writing. What I like most about the book is how he says he doesn’t focus on plot. He prefers situations. I can imagine that was how Lost was created. What if a plane crashed on a remote and mystical island and the survivors discovered other inhabitants? I’ll never understand why the survivors would want to leave The Island. At first, The Island was scary but when the focus shifted from the mysteriousness of The Island and onto the Others, I kind of lost interest in the show. But it’s getting better. The six people who managed to get off of The Island are trying to go back. That’s what I’m talking about.

Anyway. I’m going to try focusing on putting a character or characters in a situation to see where they go.

Anyways, I came across a couple of stories about the status of Hollywood and a couple of shows I’ve been watching. I’m not sure I like the direction Grey’s Anatomy is going. I don’t get Izzy’s dead boyfriend. And I thought it was kind of weird that she was having great sex with someone who’s dead. That’s one hell of an imagination but I can say I know what a good imagination and a sturdy pair of hands can do.

Health and television

I thought about going vegetarian for a while because I find meat upsets my stomach. Well, everything upsets my stomach. I had a few pieces of some lamb and I just couldn’t bring myself to eat any more. The meat was so fatty. It was the look of the meat that turned my stomach more than the meat itself. I just don’t like looking or eating fatty meat.

I had some Panda Express the other day and it upset my stomach. I did, however, enjoy my fortune cookie. “Striving for the best will bring you closer to the best.” I like it.

I cannot wait to be done with school. I’ve got a lot of television writing and a lot of television and movie watching to do. I’m especially looking forward to the premier of Dollhouse (Fox) as I am a huge Joss Whedon fan. You can read more about Dollhouse at Fox.

I was a little worried at first because the premise of the show was eerily similar to NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy (which has been cancelled) but I’m certain Joss and his team of writer’s can make Dollhouse a million times more interesting than My Own Worst Enemy. Believe me, I know the power of Joss. I’ve been watching his shows from beginning to end since I discovered Buffy. I have every show of his on DVD. Buffy, Angel, Firefly and eventually I’ll be adding Dollhouse.
