I don’t have much to blog about. I have a short weekend and a long paper to write. My goal is to get five pages done tomorrow and the last five pages done on Sunday.
About Life on Mars. I don’t really get the show. I’m not sure what the significance of 1973 is so I guess that’s what has me so puzzled. I thought by the end of the episode, he would be back in 2008 since he solved the original murder. The only thing I could gather about the show so far is, he managed to change the kid’s perception which is why Maya supposedly lived. I don’t think this is a show I’ll be watching in the future. So far, it’s worse than Brothers and Sisters.
Well, I’m going to go to bed so I can get up early to start on this paper. I would like to be able to have Monday to relax. I love my holidays and any day I don’t spend at Thumb Twiddle.
Welcome. Enjoy.

Day 283

I woke up feeling a little like crap today. It eventually passed but only after several trips to the bathroom.
I know, that’s just a little too much information but I have to tell someone since my dad is living in a different time zone and my mother refuses to listen at all.
I can’t wait until the series premier of Life on Mars. Another potential show to spec for. I will be watching so much tv when I finish school.
There was something I wanted to write about but I can’t remember it.
Well, Ugly Betty was interesting tonight. It turns out Alexis is Daniel Jr.’s father and not Daniel. Holy smokes! That’s interesting. A tranny is a father. Ha! I wonder if Rebecca Romijn is leaving the show?
I had some Mexican food that was awfully bland. I didn’t think something with cilantro sauce and guacamole could have so little flavor. Like, what the heck happened?
I’ve been thinking about my life and want I want to do with it when I finally grow up. I don’t want to work. I want my money to work for me. That’s pretty much the only thing I’m sure of. I’m not sure of how to make that happen but I think it’s possible.
Now for exciting news, escrow closes on that house I bought in Michigan. After closing costs and taxes from now until the end of June, the house cost a little over $2,000. Not bad for a duplex. I can write the taxes off when I file next year. Yes! If I can get some repairs in before the New Year that’s an even bigger write off. Oh yeah, I love my tax breaks. I’m going to need every tax break I can get since I and every tax paying citizen of the U.S. will be footing the bill for that $830 billion bailout. I’m still bitter by the way as every American should be.
I really want to chop some heads off.
Or torture somebody.
I think I’m horny. I mean, lately the young bucks at work are looking especially scrumptious. I almost wanted to give one of them a hug after I saw him in his workout clothes with his manly nipples erect and poking through his shirt. I have this thing for man nipples. Sue me. Everybody’s got some kind of fetish. Mine are man nipples.
It’s all Matthew McConaughey’s fault. Every summer he walks around the beach with his man nipples exposed to be photographed for the whole world to see in People’s magazine. Darn that baby daddy!!! He needs to put those things away. Man nipples are foul on a baby daddy.

Day 282

Yes, there’s nothing like losing money in any savings account that makes you want to jump off a cliff. Actually, it makes me want to throw people off of a cliff. Money is an issue I can understand someone becoming homicidal over.
There was talk today about retirements and 401K accounts. I don’t want to look at my 401K with Fidelity. I know it’s lost a lot of money. Last time I looked, it last 25% of its value since the beginning of this year. Given Fidelity’s letter to investors, I plan to move what little money I may have left to another institution. I don’t trust Fidelity.
I don’t think there’s much to worry about. The Bailout Plan makes me sick to my stomach because I know no matter which presidential candidate gets in the oval office, taxes will go up. That’s inevitable.
I definitely need to find a new job where I’m making more money. Make as much money as you can while you can, right?
I wish I had something else to blog about. School sucks. It really does. Every class I take is a combination of all the bad things about the previous classes I took. I can imagine by the time I finish with my last class, I will probably have a couple of grey hairs on my head.
I hope next year is better. I hope everything works out.

Day 281
I watched part of the presidential debate tonight. I still going to take some KY jelly with me to the polls when I go and vote. I wish they would just let me know how’s going to give it to me up the pooper much harder so that I can medicate myself before it happens.
Yes, I just did compare voting to what I imagine taking it in the back door must feel like.
Why do they always say a Disney movie will never be available again? We all know it’s not true. They should really say it will be another 10 years before it will be released again. I’m not into the old flicks anyway, though I do own Bambi. I haven’t watched it and I suspect eventually I will have to upgrade my DVD to Blue-Ray or HD. Dang, dang, dang. There is a reason why I should just go completely digital.
I better get some sleep so I can get to bed. I have to get some major sleep tonight so I can stay awake at work. Plus, I have to drive tomorrow.

Day 280

Time for an all new Terminator. I think this season is going to be really good. For some reason, I don’t think the red head is out to kill John. I think she wants to wipe out all of the bad terminators.
Later will be my other can’t-live-without show. Heroes. I love my sci-fi.
I start class #3 tomorrow, because I want to get this school stuff out of the way. How to people drag this out for decades?
I mentioned to someone at Thumb Twiddle how I’m going to do a life makeover. I’m going to physically and mentally change my life. One step at a time though.
When I was in basic training, I had the biggest crush on my drill sergeant. I would do almost anything to get him to yell at me. Anything to get his attention. I think he caught on to it because he started ignoring me.
What is it the red head wants? I can’t figure it out. Is she good or bad or in between?
Crap. I have to wait two weeks before the new Terminator episode.
How did Claire kill Peter when Peter has Claire’s power?
Well, I’m going to stop blogging so I can finish watching Heroes and then go to bed.
The Knight Rider has returned and Kit is a black Mustang but without a stripe. Bummer.

Day 279

I was watching Discovery Health about a little Egyptian girl born with two heads. The second head was actually a parasitic twin with a full head (and functional brain) but no body. What was interesting about the head is it could blink its eyes, cry, and suckle.
Then I watch another documentary about an Indonesia man named Dede infected with the human papilloma virus (HPV). He also has TB and Hepatitis B. The warts grew all over his body and covered his hands and feet to the point where they looked like tree roots. The Indonesian government didn’t have an interest in the man’s warts until an American doctor offered to give him help.
Neither medical case is Grey’s Anatomy drama worthy. Bummer.
I did get the chance to watch Annie. I absolutely love the movie! I just love how they just start dancing and singing out of the blue. I’ve been meaning to try this at work-bursting in song and dance. I’m going to have to get this movie on dvd one of these days.

Day 278

How can people listen to the same song over and over again? Someone in the neighborhood has put Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” on repeat and I’m now finishing the fifth and hopefully last time I hear this song tonight. So far so good. I’m now listening to “Billy Jean.” They’re turning it up. Danggit. Now it’s like the song is playing in my room. It got turned down. (Thank you.)
I really don’t like listening to other people’s music. For example, I was cruising the blogosphere and came across a blog. I immediately left the blog when the music embedded in the blog started playing. Hey people, I have my own playlist I like to listen to when I’m surfing the net. I don’t want to hear yours.
I almost bought a John Denver box set at Wal-mart today. I can’t get that song out my head - “Sunlight on My Shoulders.” Maybe I’ll go back and get it. I’m trying to save money so it won’t happen until next year.
I read an interesting article on China’s colonization of Africa. Interesting read as I have said before that China will be America’s biggest rival for the world’s resources in the coming years.
For some reason, Joss Whedon’s Firefly comes to mind when I think of the Chinese and American dominance of the world. I wonder which will be the most dominant? American exports it’s culture via music, movies, and television; however, China is exporting it’s culture by exporting its people.

Day 277
Well, I don’t have much to write about tonight. I have to get up early to start working on my paper that’s due Monday. I also have to start my reading for my next class and finish up with the reading for the class I’m taking now. I love doubling up. The good news is, I got my text book for school so I won’t have to download chapters from the Internet.
I’m not so sure about voting. There’s so many things I for and so many I’m against but neither candidate represent my interest. I get depressed just thinking about it. I wish I had blind loyalty to one party but I think both parties are completely screwed up. Hopefully, I will find the energy to blog about it.

Day 276

I watched part of the Vice Presidential debate. I honestly don’t want to vote for either Obama or McCain. I’m not for invading Pakistan (Obama’s plan) when things have not come to an end in Iraq or Afghanistan and I have never been in favor of Iraq and want to see that chapter closed as soon as possible. I don’t think democracy will ever prevail in any Muslim country because Islam is not compatible with democracy.
The Bailout Plan isn’t set in stone. I don’t know what this will mean if it does or doesn’t pass. I’m still not in support of it now that it’s been revised with an additional $130 billion dollars tacked onto the $700 billion tax payers will be paying. Thanks to all those greedy money grubbing CEOs. I really appreciate how those CEOs are millionaires while the rest of us will have to pay for their greed.
I’m so not in the mode for blogging right now. I think I’m going to try to find the biggest bottle of KY jelly so that when it comes time to take it up the pooper from which ever presidential candidate wins, I’ll have some lubricant.

Day 275
I was able to get into school tonight but I had problems accessing the e-book to do my readings. I had to print the chapters I need to read for the week directly from the Internet, which leaves me without page numbers. I need those page numbers for my citations.
I think I’m going to call it a night. I’m tired and I want to get some reading done before I go to bed.
I watched Private Practice tonight. The theme in the show was people keeping secrets. A very interesting episode. I wish I had the energy to blog about it tonight but I need to get some sleep.
Maybe I’ll blog about it tomorrow.
