The Boss

Today my boss asked about my love life. It really isn't none of her business but I knew why she wanted to know. She's not very happy being married. Her husband works long hours and is rarely at home. She figured with me being single that I would have something good to report.

Sadly I didn't but I wished I had made up some tall tale of how I met some goodlooking and smart studmuffin at a bar somewhere and then took him home to have a night of wild hot sweaty sex. But I didn't because that would have been lying but it would have given me a chance to make up a great story. Dang. Another missed opportunity. That's alright though. She'll be asking again.

I'm single and though sometimes I want male companionship, I am so into my career I don't even think about men. My career is more important right now so I am focusing on that then later on, when the smoke clears I'll pay more attention to men, LOL! I have had many offers but none of the men interested me enough to want to date them. I don't mean to sound harsh or anything but they just weren't on my level. And I think a woman has the right to have a man that's on her level. We shouldn't have to settle for men that we feel aren't right for us. Plus I am not like some women who " have to have a man ". So that's why it's easy for me to deal with it. I would rather not date anyway. I would just like a guy to hang out with every once in a while without making a romantic commitment. You know, just as friends. About your boss, it's funny how married people always seem to think single people are single because they can't find people when that's not the case a lot of times. I find that most married couples are regretting marriage more and more. I guess the power of Valentine's Day has worn off, LOL!

You should have told her you met an incredibly sexy guy on the internet who is 110% into you and totally committed to celibacy before marriage. At which time...

Thanks for stopping by but please refrain from using the N word on my blog. It offends my eyes.

Hey there Shavonne: I am glad to have found your link again. How did the Nanowrimo competition go? And when a marriage is on the rocks, all parties involved make it their business to drag you into their misery. Watch out!

Mahndisa-

I only got around 15,000 words for the JANOWRIMO competition. I didn't write everyday and I was trying to get over the stress of the holiday season. I've been thinking about some short stories I'd like to work on as well as some screenplays. I don't know how much writing I will get done since I'll be going back to school but I think I'll be more motivated. I wrote more creatively in college when I had the stress of writing term papers.

Well 15K sure sounds like a lot of writing to me!!! Best wishes with your schoolwork. It is always wonderful to hear people pursuing their education. Will you be studying writing or English or something? Oh, I want to blogroll you, but I have been having issues with nasty nasty trolls. So until this is sorted out, I have hidden my comments. In about a week, I will update the roll and place you there. Unfortunately this damnable troll has been trolling the sites of damnear everyone on my blogroll. Hence I don't wish you to be subjected to his nastiness. Take Care and I will stop by again:) BTW like your new profile pic. I even took mine down cuz of those nasty buggers! Ha!

I don't have a problem with trolls. I just get the comment spam. But I guess it's the same thing.

I will be getting my MBA. I would like to study English or writing but my job will only pay for a business degree. It's great though because I do have an interest in business and I would even like to start my own business.

Thanks for the compliment on the pic. That's what I was originally going to use because of my huge smile. I paid good money for my smile and I like to show it off.
